Week 58 - Hot Tuna Boys

Okay, I will stop talking in Tahitian because you probably don't understand a word and there is no such thing as google translate for Tahitian!

This week was a great week! I received my new companion, his name is Elder Larsen and he comes from Utah. He is super nice and has been on his mission for 20 months. I am super excited to serve with him and I think that we will work really well together!

Everyone is on vacation right now in Tahiti, so we don't really have a ton to do. It is hard but we have been doing a ton of service pastoral! Basically, just going around and visiting members and our investigators. It has been fun to build up our relationships with them this past week. Hopefully, it should be settling down pretty soon!

Today we went to the beach for our P Day activity, like normal!

My studies this past week have been super awesom. I am not sure why but I have really been into them lately. My testimony of The Book of Mormon continues to grow! I just love how applicable it is to our lives!

Oh, I almost forgot, but there are literally chickens everywhere in Tahiti and they just lay eggs everywhere! So I took a picture with an egg I found on the side of the road! LOL

I love and miss you guys! I love missionary work and just being able to help people! I hope you all have a great week!

Bonjour tout le monde! I hope that you all had a great week and started off the New Year well! I am in my new area and I love it! It is a lot different then my last but I love my new companion! He is from France and we are literally the same person! It makes such a difference in the missionary work when you get along with your companion! The work goes so much smoother and it is a lot more fun! I love it! Like I said last week, I am in the city part of Tahiti, it is different, and there are a ton of people, but I like it! Week 23, 24, 25, 26 - I AM STILL ALIVE!!

I AM STILL ALIVE!! I apologize for no updates this past month! The internet on this little tiny island that I am on wasn't working, so I haven't been able to talk to ANYONE! But I am alive and well!! So much has happened this last month. One of our recent converts here just got married a few weeks ago and we were able to go the wedding! It was so much fun and we were able to eat a ton of weird foods. So, we were about to start eating and this person brings out this huge plate that is covered up and sets it right in the middle of the table. Then they proceeded to uncover this plate and BAM it is a cow head!! They just cooked a cow head for the center piece! And we literally just grabbed meat off the skull of this cow head with our hands and ate it! The craziest part is, it wasn't even that bad! Also, here on this tiny little island there are a TON of wild dogs, and they don't like the missionaries! So for our protection we decided it would be best to buy machetes! No

Week 22 - Tubuai

Hello Everyone! Tubuai is the most beautiful place I have ever been in my life! So I got to Tubuai and the missionary work here is kind of at a stand still. Before I left for Tubuai the Mission President gave me a call and we talked and he told me that he needed me to get out there and get the ball moving again, and said he had faith that I could do it. So I got out here and we got straight to work. Rebuilding the relationship with the members, tons of service projects, a lot of activities at the church and just talking to every single person we see! And WOW, the missionary work is now moving! The members love my companion, Elder Harrison, and I, and we have been getting so many different referrals. I have a strong belief that members and missionary work go hand in hand. It is very important to have that support from the members! So out here in Tubuai everyone has a ton of land and there are a ton of farms! They grow a lot of their own food since there isn't a lot out here. T
