Week 85 - Giving Blessings

Image
Hello Everyone! I hope you all had a great week and that all is well in your lives! This week was another great week for Elder Banthoud and I. We work really well together and we have a great time! Here are a few highlights from this week! Last Monday night we went and gave a blessing at the hospital to a woman who was in a coma.  They thought she was going to die because of how bad her condition was. On Wednesday we went to see how she was doing and she was awake and could talk with us! She is doing great now. I really saw the miracles that can happen with the power and authority of the priesthood! Two of our investigators passed their interveiws this week so we will be having two baptisms this week. It is always exciting to have baptisms! I am starting to lose a little bit of weight. REALLY excited about that! I didn't fall this week on my bike! I studied hard core in the Bible with Elder Banthoud! I hope you all have a great week! Stay safe and I hope you all enjoy w

Iaorana tatou! I hope that you all had a great week! This week went by really fast for Elder Banthoud and I! We are continuing to see miracles each and every day! I love my mission and I love serving the Lord! I would not trade all of my experiences I am having for anything! It has been the best thing I could possibly do in my life! I hope that everyone can one day serve a mission! Elder Banthoud and me writing home This week we ate with a family and we ate pretty French. Instead of the typical Tahitian raw fish, we had SNAILS, mussels and calf meat! Apparently, it is very popular in France! For those of you who knew me before the mission, I would have never touched those things, but I ate it all and it was actually really good! I loved the mussels! I don't know if we really eat that in America but I will try and eat that when I get home! This mission has been full of great experiences! So I heard from a member that the Rams made it to the Super Bowl! I hope that you will

Hello Everyone! I hope that you all had a great week and that this new year is treating you well! This week was a good week! Elder Banthoud and I saw many miracles this week! There are a few I would like to share with you guys! This week we were doing a little bit of contacting and we were at a house and an old Tahitian lady walks out of the house and starts speaking in only Tahitian. I was scared at the beginning because the Tahitian language is pretty hard and not a ton of people speak it! My companion just looks at me because he didn't understand anything and then I realized that I was understanding everything that she was saying to us! She invited us in and we gave her a blessing and taught her a lesson. ALL of it in Tahitian! And the end she was crying because she was so grateful that we spoke in Tahitian with her. I still don't know how I was able to talk or understand but I did it and it was a miracle! Another miracle we saw this week was with an old investigato

Bonjour tout le monde! I hope that you all had a great week and started off the New Year well! I am in my new area and I love it! It is a lot different then my last but I love my new companion! He is from France and we are literally the same person! It makes such a difference in the missionary work when you get along with your companion! The work goes so much smoother and it is a lot more fun! I love it! Like I said last week, I am in the city part of Tahiti, it is different, and there are a ton of people, but I like it! I will admit it is not the best being back on the bike again. I guess the workout is good! Elder Banthoud and I got some champagne this week for the New Year! Bien sur without alcohol! LOL Elder Banthoud and me This week we gave 13 blessings. It is crazy how often we go to the hospital to give blessings! During the week we went and blessed one of our investigators. He was having a lot of pain in his shoulder and lost feeling in his arm and couldn't really
