Week 67 - Look for the Miracles

Image
Laorana tatou! I hope that you all had a great week and that you all stayed dry because this week it rained a TON! But it was another great week! This week I had a chance to go on a split with one of the other missionaries in our zone to see how he is doing and how their area is. It was really fun. The only part was I was on a bike for the whole day for the first time in like 6 months, so my butt was hurting a ton! But we had a great time together! This week we had a BAPTISM! WOOHOO! His name is Toofa and he is probably my favorite investigator I have ever taught. We started teaching him like the second day I got to Papeari and last Saturday he was baptized! I am so happy for him and he is literally a miracle! I will have to wait till I am home to tell you all his conversion story!  Elder Peck and me before Toofa's baptism Also this week we had another leadership meeting with President Fox at his house! It was a really great experience. During our meeting we talked

Hello Everyone! I hope that you have all had such a great week! This past week was a great week! It was so hot and humid here this past week, which means a ton of mosquitos! So we have been trying to stay covered in mosquito spray! Last P Day we went on a hike with some of the other missionaries and it was tons of fun@ Papeari is so beautiful and we have so many fun things to do here! I loved the hike!  Elder Peck and me  Other missionaries that we hiked with  Can't beat the view  This weekend we had stake conference and it was super awesome! We had Elder Haleck and Elder Bergues there because they called a new Stake President. It was super awesome because Tubuai is a part of this stake, so I was a bunch of members from Tubuai that came up for the conference! The spirit was so strong and it was super uplifting to hear from the leaders of the church. I love you all and hope you have a great week! Elder Kyle Van Lindt

Week 65 - Hard Work

IAORANA!!! I hope that everyone had a great week! This week has been busy to say the least! Elder Peck and I are doing so well together and I am loving every second serving with him! This past week we have been doing 13 hours of proselyting a day and it is kicking my butt. I am SO tired, but it is worth it when you see the results of the joy that others have in their lives! This week we had interviews again with President Fox. Like always, they were great and I love him so much. Also, on Sunday night, we had a soiree spirituelle and it was super fun! We did it on Le Livre de Mormon and it turned out so well! It was so much fun. Elder Peck and I did a puppet show of the voyage of Lehi and his family. It was a great turn out and the members loved it! I am excited for this week and for the joy I can help bring into others lives! I love and miss you all so much! Elder Kyle Van Lindt Me and Elder Peck writing our emails!

IOARANA MEA MA!! This week has been quite the week! It is my first week in Papeari! I am serving in the Ward of Vaihiria with Elder Peck and we are the zone leaders! It has honestly been one of the best weeks of my mission! Elder Peck and I get along so great and work so well together! We have been working so hard this week and we have been seeing miracles! I am sure that this transfer will be a transfer of miracles! I got to go the Temple again this week! It just happened that the zone of Papeari was this week so I was able to go again and it was great like always! I love, love, love the temple! Me, Elder Peck, Elder Danielson and Elder Hansen The place we are living in is so awesome! Papeari is like the Amazon Rain Forest! We are literally camping! Our house is a huge cabin! It is so big for just the two of us! We sleep outside practically and it is great!  This is our view where we sleep, there are no walls up here, so we sleep with our mosquito nets  This i
