Week 41 - More Bee's

I hope all of you have had a great week full of memorable and exciting experiences! This week I have had plenty of experiences through service. I love service because it is an opportunity to help others and it's a way of showing love towards them.

The first act of service I did this week was to help a member build a house. With the mini cyclone that came through here like a month ago, it destroyed part of his house. So this week we have been helping him to rebuild the walls. It is not like an American house, but it is still a house! We have been making a ton of cement and using a lot of cinderblocks. It has been awesome learning new things and being able to help others while they are in need!

Another day this week we went to our investigators Bee Farm to him him out. We helped him clean out some fo the boxes and move around some things for the bee's! I was not the smartest and wore a t-shirt, shorts and flip flops. You guessed it, I ended up paying for that by getting stung a few times!

This week was a great and simple week full of small acts of kindness towards others. I have been trying really hard to look at every situation as a time to help and serve others. It is amazing as you look at life like that, and be in the service of others! I encourage you all to try and do one small act of service for someone this week! You will feel great inside and I know it will really help that person you serve! Stay awesome!

Bonjour tout le monde! I hope that you all had a great week and started off the New Year well! I am in my new area and I love it! It is a lot different then my last but I love my new companion! He is from France and we are literally the same person! It makes such a difference in the missionary work when you get along with your companion! The work goes so much smoother and it is a lot more fun! I love it! Like I said last week, I am in the city part of Tahiti, it is different, and there are a ton of people, but I like it! I will admit it is not the best being back on the bike again. I guess the workout is good! Elder Banthoud and I got some champagne this week for the New Year! Bien sur without alcohol! Week 23, 24, 25, 26 - I AM STILL ALIVE!!

I AM STILL ALIVE!! I apologize for no updates this past month! The internet on this little tiny island that I am on wasn't working, so I haven't been able to talk to ANYONE! But I am alive and well!! So much has happened this last month. One of our recent converts here just got married a few weeks ago and we were able to go the wedding! It was so much fun and we were able to eat a ton of weird foods. So, we were about to start eating and this person brings out this huge plate that is covered up and sets it right in the middle of the table. Then they proceeded to uncover this plate and BAM it is a cow head!! They just cooked a cow head for the center piece! And we literally just grabbed meat off the skull of this cow head with our hands and ate it! The craziest part is, it wasn't even that bad! Also, here on this tiny little island there are a TON of wild dogs, and they don't like the missionaries! So for our protection we decided it would be best to buy machetes! No

Week 22 - Tubuai

Hello Everyone! Tubuai is the most beautiful place I have ever been in my life! So I got to Tubuai and the missionary work here is kind of at a stand still. Before I left for Tubuai the Mission President gave me a call and we talked and he told me that he needed me to get out there and get the ball moving again, and said he had faith that I could do it. So I got out here and we got straight to work. Rebuilding the relationship with the members, tons of service projects, a lot of activities at the church and just talking to every single person we see! And WOW, the missionary work is now moving! The members love my companion, Elder Harrison, and I, and we have been getting so many different referrals. I have a strong belief that members and missionary work go hand in hand. It is very important to have that support from the members! So out here in Tubuai everyone has a ton of land and there are a ton of farms! They grow a lot of their own food since there isn't a lot out here. T
